Before I decided to become a German<>English translator, I had a career as a news reporter for several years. During my journalism days, I worked as a staff reporter (business, public safety/courts, community issues, local government, general assignments) for a major US newspaper, the Omaha World-Herald, and later as a freelance writer for various English and German news publications and magazines.
